Seems simple enough, but it was harder than you thought it would be, wasn't it? Why is that? Is it because we simply don't appreciate just "being" anymore? We are constantly looking for ways to fill our lives with stuff. Stuff that can get in the way of taking a few seconds just to breathe, to relax, to remind yourself that you don't have to move a mile a minute. As much as we may want to believe we are... we aren't superhuman. We are normal human beings living in a world that tells us we need to live up to expectations, to make people proud, to "prove" ourselves...
If only we all took a little time out of our day just to relax, to focus on being in the moment... we could stop running around like chickens with our heads cut off, constantly trying to catch up in the fear of falling behind.
I am here to remind you... you ARE enough. Anything you do/anything you achieve/ anything you stand for... IS ENOUGH! You are worth more than any amount of money, any job promotion, any romantic relationship, anything that seems to demand your time. So, next time you feel like you just can't catch up, ask yourself this:
What exactly are you trying to catch up with? Life is right here... It will give you all the time you need.
