Everyone needs a vacation once in a while. It is vacation that reminds us why we work as hard as we do. It is vacation that makes us realize what is important in life. It is my vacations that make me grateful for sun, flip flops, and outlets malls. :)
Back to Michigan...
Don't get me wrong, I love Michigan but the flip flops and swimsuits were nice for a couple days. Isn't it funny though- how despite how great the vacation was or how baldy you needed it, you are always a little bit grateful to find yourself back home?
Although I did take a few days off... forgive me please :)I want to start today off with an inspirational BANG! I saw this picture/quote combo this morning and knew it would be perfect for today's post.
How many of us want 'happily ever after'? Too many to count. We dream of having the prefect home, the prefect family, the perfect life... all sometime in the distant future. We fail to realize that our future is often closer than we think. We don't acknowledge that the things we are doing TODAY influence what happens several years down the road.
So my encouragement for today is exactly that... realize that your happily ever after starts TODAY. It starts right now, right at this very moment. No matter where you are at in life, take a second to think about what you want your future to look like- and take small steps to make it happen. If that means booking a cruise vacation because you haven't taken one in years and are in desperate need of a break... save up the money and start thinking about it. Whatever it may be, be ACTIVE in deciding how your life is going to play out... because sooner or later, it may just be too late.
